Little Mermaid Guesthouse & Restaurant
We chose to stay at ‘The Little Mermaid Guesthouse & Restaurant’ (map) which was the cheapest option available. We were not expecting much but we were very pleasantly surprised. As expected, our room was above a restaurant (which was never busy and closed early). The room was very big and had big windows that let in a lot of light. The shower was great quality and we had no issues with bugs or uncomfortable beds. The WiFi was strong and we even had a big balcony right outside our room.

On one occasion, we returned to our room to find the door open, which wasn’t ideal, but accidents happen I suppose and nothing was missing. The location of the guesthouse was excellent as it was situated between Kata and Karon beaches, meaning a walk to either was just a matter of minutes.
