C2 Residence
We had booked in a ’boutique hotel’ called ‘C2 Residence‘ (map). It is situated literally one minute walk from the bus station and 15 minutes walk from the train station.
On arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly chap called Ben who offered us a glass of iced water and immediately made us feel very welcome. He gave us advice on places to visit and provided a local map in English.
Our room was very pleasant. The bed was comfortable, it had a TV and DVD player (with DVDs available to borrow from reception), strong air-con and the WiFi was excellent. The shower wasn’t always hot but this didn’t bother us.
In the morning, the hotel provided free coffee, juice and toast. They also provided a DIY laundry service and free bicycles, both of which we took advantage of.
The hotel is a little out of the centre, taking around 25 minutes to walk. Tuktuks will take you for around 30 baht per person. If you don’t mind being just outside the centre, this really is a great choice of accommodation in Lampang.
