The Light Hotel
When we were looking to book our hotel in Ha Long Bay, we couldn’t believe how cheap our options were. We opted for a place called The Light Hotel (map). It cost us £6 a night for a double room with en suite bathroom.

Check-in was straight forward. We were shown to our room and we couldn’t quite believe the quality for such a small price.

The shower was nice and hot and the WiFi was excellent. When we came to check out, we were sure there would be some misunderstanding and it would be more expensive, but there was none. The receptionist even gave us a discount code for our Grab car.
The Light Hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Ha Long Bay and is up a fairly steep hill. If this does not bother you, then I highly recommend it. It provides excellent value and is a fantastic place to stay in Ha Long Bay.
